Buying from abroad
Working abroad?
Choose your plot from there.
Many of our buyers work in the Gulf, Malaysia, Korea or Japan. You can see a plot on a video call, check its papers on WhatsApp, pay through a bank and have a family member register it in your name, without flying home.
Our group company, S.S. Group of Management, is a licensed overseas employment agency. We know how working abroad works, and how little time off it leaves.
How it works.
See the plot on a video call
One of our team walks the site with you live, on WhatsApp, Viber or IMO, at a time that suits your shift. Your family in Nepal can join the call, or visit the site themselves.
Check the papers
We send you photos of the plot’s papers on WhatsApp or Viber, so you and your family can check them before you decide.
Book it with a bank payment
You book the plot with a deposit paid into our company’s bank account, and get a receipt for it.
Give a family member power of attorney
A power of attorney (akhtiyarnama) lets someone you trust sign for you at the Land Revenue Office.
The plot is registered in your name
The sale is registered at the Land Revenue Office (Malpot), Bhaktapur, and the ownership certificate (lalpurja) is issued in your name. We send you a photo of it.
Book a video tour.
Tell us where you are and when you are free. We will message you to fix the day, then call you from the site.
- Live from the site, in daylight: 10 AM to 4 PM in Nepal, Sunday to Friday.
- See the plot, its road, its neighbours and the view, as if you were standing there.
- Ask anything you like, and bring your family onto the call.
Or call us now: +977 980-1848630
Power of attorney (akhtiyarnama).
You don’t have to be in Nepal to register a plot in your name. Someone you trust signs for you, with a power of attorney.
- Choose someone you trust in Nepal: your husband or wife, a parent, a brother or a sister.
- Have the power of attorney made and certified at the Nepali embassy or consulate in the country where you work. It names them and says what they may sign for you: buying this plot, in your name. Take your passport and your Nepali citizenship certificate.
- Send the original to them in Nepal by courier. Keep a copy, and send us a photo of it.
- They take it to the Land Revenue Office (Malpot), Bhaktapur, with a copy of your citizenship certificate. The sale is registered in your name there.
- The ownership certificate (lalpurja) is issued in your name. Your family keeps it safe, and we send you a photo of it.
Each embassy asks for its papers a little differently, and the rules change. Ask your embassy what they need, or call us: we will tell you what the Land Revenue Office in Bhaktapur asks for now.
Paying from abroad
- Send money home the legal way, through a bank or a licensed remittance company, to your own or your family’s account in Nepal. Keep the receipts.
- Pay only into Purbanchal’s company bank account, never to a person, and get a receipt for every payment.
- Call us on +977 980-1848630 to confirm our account details before you pay. If anyone sends you different details, don’t pay.
The papers we send you
- The plot’s ownership certificate (lalpurja), which shows its land-record (kitta) number and area.
- Its trace map (naksa) from the survey office, with the plot’s shape and its neighbours.
- Its place on our survey site plan, with every side measured.
Your family can check them at the Land Revenue Office before you pay anything.
Talk to us.
Call or message whenever suits you; we reply as soon as the office opens (Sunday to Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM Nepal time).
Hold a foreign passport? As a non-resident Nepali (NRN), different rules apply. Call us and we will explain them.
